Red Hat kernel customizations compared to vanilla kernel

I was wondering if anyone knows how different Red Hat's kernels are compared to the vanilla kernel. I know most of what Red Hat does gets pushed upstream, but there are some tweaks and customizations that are Red Hat specific. I'm doing some driver work for something written for the 2.4.x series, originally for Red Hat Enterprise, and trying to update it for the 2.6.x series and I'd like to make sure I don't accidentally rely on something Red Hat specific and find it not working with the vanilla kernel.

I suggest that you download a vanilla kernel from kernel.org and compile your own vanilla kernel to test with.
