quick startup question

Does anyone knows how to launch an application in foreground when I boot into x? Nothing seems to work here, xinitrc, xsession, kickstart...

I'm using redhat9 w/ grub as boot man and kde as win man.

Thanks.

how are you adding it to these files? show us what you see in the file when you add the app to be executed...you maybe just appending it to the file incorrectly, which is why it is not executing....

Just create a symlink from the application itself and put it in

/home/your_username/.kde/Autostart

for example:

ln -s /usr/bin/kspread /home/your_username/.kde/Autostart
