Provisioning a Base image with the posibility to deploy Apache or MySql.

Hi Everyone!!
I'm glad to write my very first thread in years here around.

I have the following challenge in my company and I want to hear your thoughts.
I have to provision a Base RHEL image with the possibility to install the Apache and MySQL servers on them, that's from the user side. What do you guys think that this is the best way to do this?
I'm thinking that I can let the user yum both installations but we have to give them sudo rights.
Other thought was to provide the full control to the opt folder and install everything there, is this a possible option?

I'm open to your thoughts, thanks in advance and cheers! :)

Pablo.

Redhat has a utility called kickstart that is designed for automated installations. You could look into that.

If you want to allow users to install a LAMP environment for development/sandbox then you could let them install XAMPP
