i wish to install linux on my old PC (pentium 133 Mh) befor i'll continue to my newer computer. i got a red hat 6.2 dist. on a CDROM.
i copied the 'boot.img' to a floopy drive (using rawrite.exe) and when i bootup it won't go after the menu (where i pressed [Enter]). one more thing: on another computer with Knoppix (don't know the version) and and LCD screen, when i log out of the KDE to text mode (and also at start-up) it go to an unrecognized mode(by the screen) where can i change the video mode of the text screen thank's |
Howzit
need more detail when u say it doesn´t go past the menu which menu? U may try and download the new version of RH which is version 9 or fedora which is the same as RH9. This will be better for u as it has more driver support and it will still run on your Pen 133. chow |
