Problem installing

I have a computer that was on windows xp, the hard drive is now formatted, completely erased. When I'm trying to install Redhat 9, i get all the way through the gui installation until it actually starts to try and install... I get this error...

Error enabling swap device hdb3: Invalid Argument

This most likely means this swap partition has not been initialized.

The setup guide from Redhat said something about that error, but it didn't help at all. I'm new to this forum, just ask if you need anymore info.

What is the size of your swap space? It is recommended to have double the size of your memory. Increase it and see if it works.

This is how it comes up:

Hard Drives

>/dev/hdb

>/dev/hdb1 /boot ext3 (check mark) 102
>/dev/hdb2 / ext3 (check mark) 9868
>/dev/hdb3 swap (check mark) 1020
