Partitioning on Redhat Enterprise Server 3 IA 64
 

Hi All,

I have environment in which storage system is shared between Redhat Enterprise Server AS3 (32 bit) and Redhat Enterprise Server AS3 IA64 (64 bit).

Same Logical unit of storage system is visible through above mentioned 32 bit and 64 bit machine. If I have already partitioned the logical unit using fdisk through Redhat Enterprise Server AS3 32 bit machine, will it be a problem while accessing same LU (logical unit) through Redhat Enterprise Server AS3 IA 64 machine??

On bugzilla bug #112148 say that their is problem with fdisk while using it through Redhat Enterprise Server AS3 IA 64, but parted works properly.

Please let me know which partition tool (fdisk/parted) i should use on above mentioned both machines, so that there is no problem.

It will be great if somebody response immediatly
