the # 2 was removed as it was the swap partition,
I tried to resize #3 wich is /usr and it's full
so my idea was to use that space from swap so the /usr would have 4more gb
and at the end on part. #8 put swapp
if that's posible.. so far i'm using knoppix as a live cd to do this.
I'm stuck in rezising #3
(parted) resize 3 107 7970

i asume that happen cuz the start can't be changed. ok so how do i go from here?
any help?
I could be wrong on this (and I hope someone corrects me if so) but it looks like the error is staring you in the face.
Code:
Error: File system has an incompatible feature enabled.
Compatible features are has_journal, dir_index, filetype,
sparse_super and large_file.
and then it says
Code:
Use tune2fs or debugfs to
remove features.
So lookup what's different with your filesystem (is it currently hibernated, possibly?). and then see if there's a manual page on tune2fs or debugfs... maybe those programs could be your ticket.
I think there's a way to change it, but I'm really not sure what your error could be.
I just ran into a similar situation but with what seems to me like a weird twist -- which could be a solution for some.
I was trying to resize/move a couple of partitions, which parted (v 1.7.1) refused to touch with the message: Error: File system has an incompatible feature enabled. (This somewhat older version wasn't as helpful by listing the "compatible features") The offending features seemed to be resize_inode and in the case of a Ubuntu 8.04 partition, ext_attr. tune2fs could remove resize_inode, but strangely enough, the version of tune2fs that came with Ubuntu 8.04 doesn't recognize ext_attr (even though that version of Ubuntu used it on the filesystem!). That seemed to leave me at an impasse w/o a lot more time and energy than I wanted to invest. In my desperation I decided to try GParted. GParted seemed to have no problems resizing with either of those features enabled. The result passed e2fsck with no problems, and after making the necessary adjustments to fstab and the bootloaders, the distros on both partitions see to boot w/o problems. While I am happy GParted worked, I have no idea why it worked when parted refused since, TMK, they use the same libraries. If anybody has an explanation, I'd love to hear it!
