mount.nfs access denied by server while mounting


Hi,,,
I am using Rhel as server and client...by using vim /etc/exports
i can able to export directory and i can mount form client....

then i tried in vim /etc/fstab client side
192.168.0.250:/share /dir nfs defaults 0 0

i am getting error

mount.nfs access denied by server while mounting 192.168.0.250:/share

please help me to solve

1) Did you re-started Portmap& nfs services.

2) Have you given the same path /etc/fstab as given in the /etc/exports file.


Please let me know

Hi,

After adding the entries in /etc/fstab file did you mount the /dir directory?
Quote:
# mount /dir
on client machine.

And as mentioned by ksdeiva, that you have to also check that the all the required services are running or not?
Along with portmap and nfs service, once run the autofs service also for automatically mounting the partition during boot time.
