Missing main menu items

When i first installed RH9, there were several menu items in my main menu which coresponded to the package i'd installed... ie software development etc etc...

I could access the samba managment console from the main menu....

I recently had a few problem trying to logon, which caused my system to freeze. I rebooted and after running the 'file system restore' program manually i was able to logon.. eventually.

However, all my useful menu entries have been removed! I no longer have links to software development apps or anything else advanced - like samba.

Have my privilleges been changed? i tried logging on as root but i get the same thing.

Please help!

Seems as though i've managed to track down the problem... all of my menu shortcuts had been moved into a lost & found folder. So i can now access all the programs and packages i installed as part of RH9.... but its a bit annoying that this happens.... does anyone know how i can recreate the menu entries?
