Max RHN Proxy/Satellite Server Connections

Plan on deploying RHN Satellite & Proxy Servers. I realize that the number of concurrent users defaults to 256 (apache server) and more users mean more memory used.

What is a reasonable/maximum number of concurrent users that I can have per server? I'm attempting to figure how many of these servers that I need.
