magically/accidentally turned rhas4 into centos

Hey guys,

I was fiddling around with apt-get update and after I rebooted my Red Hat AS 4 server came up as a different distribution of linux, CentOS.. awesome I think I must've put a centos.list in the apt configuration at some point. Is there any way to get my machine back to Redhat as 4? I was thinking I could add a source list for redhat, but I haven't been able to find one. Or is it simply easier to reinstall?

Thanks in advance!

Mur

the name of the system is defined by the redhat-release (or centos-release) rpm. presumably you got caught up in a long line of dependencies there...if you reinstall from the cd, you'll be back to redhat, but note that the differences should be minimal.

yeah it looks like i'm just going to have to reinstall from the CD. I'd like to give centOS a shot one day but I can't at the moment unfortuately.

Thanks,

Murray
