lock root account after 3 login attempts - RHEL AS 3
I'm using Red Hat Enterprise Server - (AS 3) and I want to set the root user so that after 3 unsucessful login attempts, it locks the root account (disable). Any help would be appreciated.
Why would you want the root account disabled? It would be better if you just disabled rootlogin via ssh (sshd_config) and then maybe set up so that it disables connection attempts for a certain time after a certain number of failure.
