Live updates of file from terminal

Long time reader of this forum, first time poster!

Is there a way that you can view a live update of files from the terminal?

To explain a little bit better.. know that you can view updates of a log file (for example) live by typing 'trail -f file.log'. Not that you would remove lines from log file, but i have a file that I would like to monitor live as lines are added and removed without going out of the file and back into it on the terminal.

Many thanks

Never mind, feel rather silly now. Found the solution (if any future readers purposely stumble across this)

watch tail -n20 your.log
