I need to install some other stuff and once it is installed it always says me that it was compiled for a different version of linux and you have got a different version.

I am a newbie, any kind piece of information will be highly appriciated :)

2.4.25 is your kernel version

The 'rpm -q' results are kernels/source that have been installed via rpm and therefore the entries are in the rpm database.

Have you compiled your own Kernel recently or ran a online update and updated your kernel that way?

Kindest Muhammad Muzzamil Luqman
