It's possible runnig redhat 7 on a Pentium dual core

Hi every body,

Any one knows if is possible to install RedHat 7 on a Pentium dual core based system?

Any information will be appreciated.

Why would you want to run such an old distro on that kind of hardware?

Hi reddazz,

It's because compatibility software problem. That is, the software I want to run in this box only works fine in RedHat 7.2/7.3

Normally it must run, the kernel see the dualcore system like an smp machine so you must use an smp system, the best is if you recompile the kernel with the last 2.4 version and set the cpu to pentium4 or amd 64
