Issue in booting RHES2.1 smp kernel on DL380 G4
 

Hi,

I have installed RHES 2.1 update 5 in my HP DL 380 G4 server with smart array 6i controller. I have downloaded the cd images from RHN. The update 5 is able to detect the array and loaded the cciss driver required( version 2.4.52-11 ) . Installation went through fine. Upon installation the system rebooted and it gave me the grub menu. I am able to boot the system without any issue with normal kernel. But when ever I try to boot the SMP kernel , the system hangs at "loading cciss driver .." stage.It displays the HP CIS driver and version and hangs there.

Any tips regarding this will be very helpful to me.
