Is there something like tty screen in Redhat

Hi guys,

just wanna find out whether there's this keystroke in redhat.
whereby you can switch to another tty screen by pressing Alt+F1(functional keys).
Or if you are in a total text mode in redhat, can you open another terminal screen like slackware?

Thanks and Regards.

I would think ctrl-alt F1-F6 would work...

oh thanks.
BTW, if I have got a smtp server running in text mode and the screen keep showing the mails flowing in and out.
I can simply opened another tty screen to get to the daemon and start and stop it if needed.
