Is Red Hat Linux officially history?

Hello All,

Is Red Hat Linux officially history?

I understood from the Red Hat Website that they will continue with the OS for "Industrial-strength servers" but will no longer pay attention or invest resources in the development of Red Hat Linux as we have known it in the past. Furthermore, Red Hat will basically pitch it back to the Open Source community; in this case Fedora.

Is this correct?

So would that mean that Red Hat Linux 9 was the LAST version?

Yep.

You can either buy from the RedHat Enterprise Linux line of products, or you can use the free Fedora Core 1 (I personally use both)
I think as of end March 2004 (or poss end April 04 - not sure) RedHat 9 will become unsupported. Which usually means no security/bug-fix updates.
