Intermittent Music Problem - CentOS 5

I've got CentOS 5.0 running on an AMD 64 and Asus MB system. When I first did the installation, the music CDs played great but, like many newbies, I didn't have the movies.

Now I've got the movies playing with great sound but the audio CDs play with the music cutting in and out. It doesn't matter which audio player I use. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the help.

Try using the same player that you use for video's, both mplayer and xine (for examples) play audio media just fine.

Thanks, that did it. Totem comes off the system again for good.
