Installing Sun JDK 7 on Redhat 5.4 64 bit Linux

How do you get applets running on RedHat Enterprise Linux 64 bit linux system? It seems all websites have lots of information for 32 bit systems but none for workaround for 64 bit system.

for Red hat ( and the older 5.4 ) it is assumed that one KNOWS what they are doing
are paying for the support from Red Hat a 1 year RHEL server contract is $1299 US ( home desktop is $299)
also Oracle JDK ( not sun) is no longer used, OpenJDK is.
Oracle is closing up there java

for red hat support you might want to read the red hat site and buy a license ( besides the $49US home self support ).

however CentOS 6.0 and ScientificLinux 6.1 are free rebuilds of RHEL6.1
