Install RedHat x86_64 ES in 32bit Mode
Hi,
I have a RedHat Enterprise Linux 4 U2 x32_64 ES on 5 CDs and now I have to install two different servers. On the first server I need a 32bit Installation and on the second server a 64bit Installation. My problem is...where - during installation process - can I choose which installation I want ? I didn't find any possibility to decide between these two options. Could someone please help me ? thx Gawan |
You can not use the x86_64 CD set to install on a 32-bit system, the boot kernel on the installation media to start the installation process is 64-bit and will not load on a 32-bit system.

Aye, there is seperate media for the 32 and 64 bit platforms.
