Install CentOS 6.0 without booting from DVD?

I am currently running Lubuntu, and I want to install CentOS.

I created the two CentOS DVDs. Everything seemed to go fine. The DVDs were checked, they are readable.

But, when I try to boot from the DVD, I get a message that tells to press "Enter" to begin the install. I press "Enter" and the system reboots, the I get the press "Enter" message again.

I am wondering if I can boot to Lubuntu, and run a setup program.

Hi walterbyrd,

Did you try to install on any other machine using those DVDs. If yes, did it work? As you said that it works fine till you reach the page where it ask you to press enter to begin the install and as soon as you hit enter it reboots. If I am not wrong CentOS give you couple of options that you can select for install. Did you try running the install in text mode? If yes, what was the result?

I have seen this issue on my desktop where I am unable to install CentOS 6 but it works fine on my laptop. How old is the machine on which you are trying to install CentOS 6?

As far as I know you will not be able to execute CentOS 6 install from Lubuntu.
