hudson reinstallation

In our server we have hudson 2.2.1 installed. Because of some issues, we uninstalled using rpm -e hudon* command. It uninstalled successfully. Then logged in with some ordinary user and using sudo cmd installed hudson with java -jar hudson.war.(.war file) It got installed but it didn't work properly. Hence tried to install using rpm package hudson rpm package. But it is not getting installed. It is showing files are already present. Even if we deleted the folder where it got installed, it is not working. Please help with any document on how to reinstall the software or how to configure the software. Thanks in advance.

You're going to have to provide details...just saying "didn't work properly" tells us nothing. WHAT isn't working? What are you trying to get it going? Have you checked the logs? What do they say? And doing a double-installation (the java command plus the rpm installation), won't help matters much. The best documentation would be on the Hudson website...have you looked there???

http://www.eclipse.org/hudson/the-hu...ok-hudson.html

There are also references to a ".hudson" file in the users home directories...have you removed/checked them?
