HP Deskjet 5150 install problem
 

hi at all!

I have a new Hp Deskjet 5150 printer. I tried to install it, but I a problem.

At the first step I downloaded the last version of hpijs driver (the file hpijs-1.6.tar.gz from the http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...group_id=16846) and I installed it succesfully because when I do the "hpijs -h" command I see the following displayed:

Hewlett-Packard Co. Inkjet Server 1.6
Copyright (c) 2001-2002, Hewlett-Packard Co.

At this point I tried to install my printer from Menu --> System Settings --> Printer --> New, but at the end of the of the install procedure, when I must choose the model of the printer from the pull-down menu (between the HP printer, obviusly) I find many HP printers, but I CAN'T find my model (Hp Deskjet 5150).

Does any one tell me where is the bug (...or the wrong)?

Try selecting the DJ9xx driver

you should select the driver curresponding to your printer model and " Detailed Device Description"

since your printer model is not listed in that you can try with 5100 printer driver
