how to stop google chat via squid
 
hello friend
i'm using squid for sites block .
but i need only stop the google chat not gmail site...
so any one help me .....
how to block a google chat on google sites like orkut,gmail..
plz friends tell me what the procedure to block this...

Spell out your words, please.

And you're not going to be able to use Squid for this, as a rule. A quick Google search turns up lots on the subject, had you looked.

You're going to have to use iptables to block the relevant ports, otherwise it'll just go right out.

You need to use iptables rules to block google-talk ports on the destination side. This topic is SO HUGE that you will need a lot of time and knoledge to do it your self.

You could install ClearOS, former ClarkConnect, server/firewall featuring very easy web based interface. I user ClarkConnect for several years, it is VERY EASY to learn and very powerful.
