how to reset the login and password for latest vershion of red hat

I have just installed the latest version of red hat onto my computer. The installation went fine but I’m having problems booting up. When booting up it goes to the grub menu and i select the red hat OS from the menu, then loads up a bit more and asks for a login and password to continue but I can't remember setting one up in the installation process so have no idea what it is and wont allow me to go any further. Any ideas thanks

Boot into single user mode:

1.At the GRUB splash screen at boot time, press any key to enter the GRUB interactive menu.

2.Select Red Hat Enterprise Linux with the version of the kernel that you wish to boot and type 'a' to append the line.

3.Go to the end of the line and type single as a separate word (press the [Spacebar] and then type single). Press [Enter] to exit edit mode.

4.Press 'b' to boot.

When you get the '#' prompt, you can set any passwords you want, using the passwd command. For example:

passwd

or

passwd someuserid
