Unhappy how to configure pine for imap folders?


i've created 2 folders besides inbox in pine in our linux mail server. now i want to access these 2 folders in our mail client, outlook97/2k.
how do u do that?
i heard these folders should be IMAP folders.
how do u configure pine for imap folders?
or is there an y other program in linux which can do this stuff?
