how to configure FTP Server
 

Hi all .
for more than 3 monthes till now i can not configure SAMBA server .
now i will go throu another way to Exchange The files with ms windows Clint , I will Try FTP server .
i did my FTP server on Linux Redhat 7.2 box Using ( i thing its name is FTP Editor ) but Know with Redhat9 i do not where is it ?!!! :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: .
Please tell me which batter SAMBA server or FTP server ??

Hi,

1. Ok first off, what have you tried on SAMBA? What changes did you make on the smb.conf file? Let me know and I can help you troubleshoot the issue.

2. For redhat 9.0, a FTP server they have I believe is vsftp. I personally use Proftpd. Very simple and easy to use. Try that one out.
