how to change localhost.localdomain in sending email


Hi All,

I use sendmail using my server. I hosted my site I just bought a domain name. Everytime I send mail I saw in my log files localhost.localdomain. How can I change this hostname in sending my mail.

here's the log:

#vi /etc/hosts

Thanks for the reply.

What should be the configuration or the content /etc/hosts file if you are hosting your own website with sendmail sending to outside smtp server?

You can define as i said early in /etc/hosts file.
For personal web hosting refer the following site
