how to add application icon in the main menu??


my os is redhat 9
my application icon is missing
eg. xmms . mplayer `s icon is missing
how to add thisc
I right click in the xmms in the main menu ,choose Properties
click Icon then my icon ,but can`t change it
It say "Cannot save changes to launcher Details: Error writing file 'applications:/Multimedia/MoreMultimedia/xmms.desktop': Read-only file system"
please help me

Im not sure but to do stuff like that you normally need to be logged in as ROOT.
