how do I install/run the graphical interface

Okay - I just got this Linux ES machine, it went through setup process - and then when I logged in as root, it said to go to a directory to run .start.sh or something (sorry guys dead new to all this) which I did, this is finishing setting up server admin apparently.

Thing is all it does now is says
starting timer 0:0 over and over.

My question is how do I get it to boot into a graphic interface - I think its called x ???

Im registering with redhat.com to see what help I can get there. The server does not connect to the internet yet as it FAILED on bootup to do something. (again super sorry for the lack of helpful terminology - keen as mustard to get my brains round it but its all mumbo jumbo to me right now)

So, booting into a graphical interface so that a windows user like me can feel a little more at home while I get used to the linux command line feel (have done dos command line bits and pieces in windows so Im not completely alien to the concept, just a bit lost)

HELP.. !

If you are talking about the command to start the x server (which starts up your gui), the command once you're logged in is:

startx
