Question How do I find out version of RH installed?

Hello All,
I am a newbie to Linux having spent 15 years on SunOS/Solaris. How do I find out which version RedHat linux is installed on a given system? (I am used to doing "uname", but on Linux it only shows the Kernel version). Thanks.

Sai

On my box, you can "less /etc/redhat-release" and it tells me.

You can also view the /etc/issue.net and /etc/issue for Version Number and Kernel version.
