ok i got past that problem ... i decided to just break it down to the basics
i took everything out ... i just left a hard drive, cd rom, and video card.
i took out my sound card and network card.
i also unplugged my second hard drive (i have windows on that one)
i unplugged my second cdrom (cdrw) it is ghetto riged anyway, tray tapped together lol
i unplugged my floppy drive (it was broken anyway, if fact i don't think that was hoooked up)
soooo i got past that irq part!
now it went into install mode but of course there has to be another problem
now it says ... "Red Hat CD not found. Please put in a red hat cd" or something to that effect
i think the first time i saw the message it said something about the cd doesn't match your boot or something i dunno
ARGG WTF now ...
two steps forward and one step back
oh well ...
you know how it is 3 cds ... is it going to tell me when to put in #2...i was going to try and put the second in but the damn cd rom won't open at this point
well we'll see what happens ... think i'll go back and try slackware again real quick
NO SIR slackware seems kinda hard lol ... not a good first linux experience for my noobish self.
ok this is the redhat message
"CD NOT FOUND"
the red hat linux cd was not found in any of your cdrom drives. please insert the red hat linux cd and press ok to retry.
wha wha what ... it is freakin right there in the drive. i go to open the drive and NOOOO it doesn't want to open.
what the hell do i do now. i guess maybe i can try to reburn the first cd ?
restart and try again ... done that and same thing happens.
hmmm
