Gparted says swap has 5 Gb, grep SwapTotal /proc/meminfo says swap has 800 Mb

Centos 5.4 distro (clone of RHEL). Don't understand the discrepancy noted in the subject line

Has the swap partition been resized at any point? If so, was the swap 'filesystem' recreated using mkswap?

Also, some older architectures may have problems with swap space >2GB.

Issue resolved, thanks!

Thanks for the fast replies! I ended up having to reinstall because I messed up something with the root password. During that reinstall I chose to reformat the swap partition and in the process of doing that I see that now fdisk -l and grep SwapTotal /proc/meminfo both say I have 5 Gb of swap.

Issue is resolved, now.
