gimp and no fonts in RH 9.0

Hi all,

I am building a web site and want to make graphic texts buttons.

I open up the GIMP make a background try to add text and lo and behold - no fonts, I assume I have lots of fonts on my system but I don't even see on script or any fancy fonts.
how do I tell the gimp where they are.
When I had mandrake it had a font utility which found all my fonts and even let me install windoze fonts...
Is there such a utility for RH??

Thanks
Aaron

Hi,

I put all my TTF fonts in the directory .fonts (note the . point) , under your home dierctory.

ex : /home/you/.fonts

All RH9 "normal" applications should see them, as Gimp does for me.

Close and launch gimp again.

Cheers,

Philippe
