General Issues: RedHat 9.0 Update
Hi All
I'm new here using RedHat 9.0 in runlevel 3. I'm planning to build a dedicated server on my pentium 2 300mhz system. Other distributions arent stable on this set, only rh9.0 manages to install. I need to know whether is RedHat9.0 continuing to update this distribution? - If no, does that mean that i have to install a newer distribution (FC2/3, Mandrake10.0/1) to get newer security updates? How do i update my RedHat9 to the latest available security update package? |
Take a look at the <<www.FedoraLegacy.org>> page...
"The goal of The Fedora Legacy Project is to work with the Linux community to provide security and critical bug fix errata packages for select End of Life Red Hat Linux and Fedora Core distributions." Get a copy of apt or yum for RH9, point it to the Fedora Legacy repositories, and you should be able to do what you want. |
