Error Class Code: 31 when trying to "sudo yum install php-mbstring"

Hi,

recently I got to work on sites that are hosted on Red Hat 5.10 server

for some wordpress theme I need to install php-mbstring, but I got following error after sudo yum install php-mbstring:

Failed to set locale, defaulting to C
Loaded plugins: rhnplugin, security
There was an error communicating with RHN.
RHN Satellite or RHN Classic support will be disabled.

Error Message:
Service not enabled for system profile: "xxxxx.xxxxxx.com"
Error Class Code: 31
Error Class Info:
This system does not have a valid entitlement for Red Hat Network.
Please visit https://rhn.redhat.com/rhn/systems/S...ntitlements.do
or login at https://rhn.redhat.com, and from the "Your RHN" tab,
select "Subscription Management" to enable RHN service for this system.
Explanation:
Your organization does not have enough Management entitlements to register this
system to Red Hat Network. Please notify your organization administrator of this error.
You should be able to register this system after your organization frees existing
or purchases additional entitlements. Additional entitlements may be purchased by your
organization administrator by logging into Red Hat Network and visiting
the 'Subscription Management' page in the 'Your RHN' section of RHN.

A common cause of this error code is due to having mistakenly setup an
Activation Key which is set as the universal default. If an activation key is set
on the account as a universal default, you can disable this key and retry to avoid
requiring a Management entitlement.
Excluding Packages in global exclude list

Setting up Install Process
No package php-mbstring available.
Nothing to do

needless to say that I'm new to Red Hat, so any help is highly appreciate

thanks

Hi miroslavlav,

Well it seems that you have a problem with your RH subscription but I dont think that's why you can't install php-mbstring.

You may want to try

Code:
yum search mbsting
since the error is that yum has no pakcage with that name, it may be something with the repos.

if you are sure that is the name of the package in the repos then is time to check your RHN subscrption

Hi Spatior, thanks for your reply,

at the end I went to cPanel and had to use easyApache, because I saw no other way to install it

updated apache and php with it (been worried if it would make any issues, but it didn't) and during php update checked mbstring package

now it works fine

thanks for your help, anyway
