Errata Maintenance End-of-life

Finally the day has come - I received an email from the RHN with this paragraph:

In accordance with our errata support policy, the Red Hat Linux 7.1,
7.2, 7.3 and 8.0 distributions have now reached their errata maintenance

Is it possible to upgrade to Fedora without losing all the previous data? I haven't yet tested it...

I think so. I also think that installing a new OS on top of your old OS is too risky. I always put the new OS on its own partition and dual boot the two distributions until the new one is stable.

Be prepared. Create a LifeBoat CD.
