Enable VNC on RH8

Folks, I installed Red Hat 8.0 (yes, that's old!). I'm trying to set up a VNC viewer (but NOT vncserver) to view this box.

I've been spoiled by the GUI configuration on Fedora 3 and 6. Apparently RH8 doesn't have the GUI utility. Somehow I'm not finding any command line commands either.
Executed vino-preferences on the RH8 box; nothing found.
iptables service is shut down.
Firewall is shut down.
netstat doesn't show any listening port 5900 shown on the box.
However vnc and vncserver are installed.
Another desktop can be viewed from the RH8 box; just unable to view RH8's desktop on another box.
As I understand it, vncserver doesn't doesn't need to be started. I only need the VNC viewer.
My viewer (TightVNC) accesses the FC3 and FC6 boxes fine.

What have I missed? Or what would you suggest I do to enable viewing of RH8's desktop?

Thanks!

You want to see the RH8 desktop from another computer? Then you need the server portion of one of the VNC choices installed and running.
