Difference in enterprise versions?

Hello...

I was looking at Red Hat Desktop the other day and notice the package kernel-smp was included with it. According to Red Hat, the Desktop software only supports 1 processor.

This led me to question whether the limits of the software mentioned on Red Hat's website are actually meaningful for reasons other than providing support. (For example, you can use the software on this system with this config just don't come to us with support questions...)

Can anyone elaborate?

I'm not sure about what it includes on the CD's but I think that you couldn't get updates via up2date for any non-supported packages.
