Creating a logical volume on RHEL3

I'm new to red hat. I just install my first server on a rx5670 hp itanium server. Has anyone ever created a logical volume off of a existing partition? If so, how?

Please advise
Thanks!

You can do this using fdisk and the lvm tools in RHEL. Run "man fdisk" to find out how to use it.
