Configure DNS printer via CUPS command line
I'm using CUPS v 1.8 under RH ES 3.0 but can only administer remotely via command line prompt.
When I add a network printer connected to a print server, I use the following lpadmin command (works fine):
/usr/sbin/lpadmin -p printer_name -E -v socket://ip_address -m laserjet.ppd
What lpadmin command would work if I don't have an IP address, just the printer DNS name printer_name.domain.com? (still use -v socket://dns_name or something else?)
