Let me know if I'm mistaken here, but what I'd like to do is have Compiz-Fusion load for Gnome and only Gnome. When I'm in Fluxbox or some other small WM, it defeats the purpose if Compiz-Fusion is loading. I added compiz-manager under "Startup Programs" under the "Sessions" program in Gnome. I'm pretty sure this causes it to load during all of my Window Manager sessions. If so, what do I need to do to make it only come up automatically during Gnome.
If "Sessions" only applies to Gnome - what is causing it to startup while in other WMs?
Ok, the sessions dialog created a compiz-manager.desktop file in $HOME/.config/autostart/ that was therefore running in all Window Managers. Compiz no longer starts up automatically in KDE! Yes!!
