command mode to GUI ?
Hi,
I am trying to get to the gnome GUI on Red Hat 7.2 and have tried Ctrl+Alt+Fx keys, according to one of the earlier posts .. but all in vain. I am currently logged in to the root. Please let me know if there is another way in. Thank you, |

the last post is correct but if u r wanting for it to always boot into GUI mode u have to change /etc/inittab file. There will be a option that says id:3:initdefault: change the 3 to a 5 and everytime u?e system boots up it will bott into GUI mode. chow |
huhh, tried that but it give a fatal error!!
"Fatal Server error: could not open default font 'fixed' " leaves me clueless :(( |
