clear is one of the redhat clones
but a very little used one

"CentOS" is the biggest fallowed by ScientificLinux" then "CERN linux" and "Fermilab Linux "
then clear linux

but they all do things a bit differently
redhat has security backports to OLD versions of the OS
( you do have to pay $$$ extra for this )

CentOS DOSE NOT!!!!!!!!!

Scientific linux also like redhat has security backports to OLD versions on the OS

for example with RHEL 6.6
redhat can support rhel6.3
Scientificlinux ALSO has them for 6.3

CentOS dose NOT!!!!
they only support the current version

Clear OS
?? unknown
but i think they do not ( like centOS)

me
I like Scientific linux
but it is up to you
