Changing the command prompt

Hi Everybody,

I'm using RedHat 9 and notice that the command promt in bash does not display the full directory tree when i change directories and go deeper etc...

Instead it will simply display (in the promt) the 'current' directory. i find this annoying, as i'd like to know 'exactly' where i am?

Is there any way i can change the way the prompt displays directories? Btw i'm no Linux guru - to be honest (i'm fairly new to it all) but am keen as to try any editing or commands if it it will fix the prob.

Hope this makes sense

Thanks in advance!
