Changing Run Levels in RHEL4

I had a question if I change the run level in RHEL4 to 3 (CLI), how do I start GUI if I wanted to? Would it just be the "startx" command or is it something else?

Am I correct in understanding that telinit3 is the correct setting for starting Linux RHEL4 in non-graphical mode?

telinit as well as init can be used. Both are the same.To start it in runlevel 3 you edit the /etc/inittab file & change the initdefault to 3.
