change localhost w/o net

hello fellows
i have a problem
seems to be difficult to me
can any one of u tell me how to change

localhost.localdomain to any other words

can it be change
once i've tried but
then i have to re install linux

plz help me

on consol it is written

2 things:

1. If you are running as root as part of your login routine, you should create a normal user and use that to login. You are running the risk of messing up your install.

2. A Search of LQ will give you the answer - this question has come up many times recently.
