CentOS cannot build kernel RPM

I am following the guide on the CentOS wiki for Centos 5.8

Everything works great, down to the last step but I get no RPMs in my RPM or SRPM directories.

Here is the command I am running:
Code:

rpmbuild -bb --target=`uname -m` kernel.spec 2> build-err.log | tee build-out.log
Once it completes it just says:
Code:

RPM build errors:
Pretty much blank - I assumed that it completed with no errors, but I still have no RPMs, I see all the package sources under /var/tmp/ and I put mine under ~/rpmbuild just like the guide.

The logs have a lot of info, but nothing that points to an error - any ideas?

here are pastebins of build-out.log and build-err.log and the kernel.spec

Unfortunately you didn't as you fscked up 3 lines below the first set of bullet points already at the point where the HOWTO urges you to NOT BUILD SOFTWARE, LET ALONE THE KERNEL, AS ROOT ACCOUNT USER, leading to the last stage of the rpmbuild process (yes, the kernel builds OK) erroring out over the +83K of "installed but unpackaged" files that '/usr/lib/rpm/check-files' found outside of /var/tmp/kernel-2.6.18-308.13.1.el5.xenvoip-root in /boot, /lib/modules and /usr/src/kernels.
