CentOS 5 repos on RHEL 6
 

Is it possible to add CentOS 5 repos in RHEL 6 registered with RHN and then grab few packages from it.

The packages that I want are

qlogic-mpi-register
mpi-frontend
mpi-selector
openmpi_pgi
openmpi_gcc
openmpi-devel
openmpi-libs
openmpi_pathscale
mpi-benchmark
mpi-libs
mpi-devel
mpi-doc

These are not available in RHEL 6 repos.

now a few individual el5 lone rpms might -- maybe ???

i have done that with non system files .A few games and some fonts

It is possible, yes.

But the dependency and library hell that you will be in afterward, will not be worth it.

IMO -- DO NOT do this.

I've done it with a couple of things but grabbed individual rpms rather than an entire repo. I'm with the others--don't do it.
